The new face of the separatists Republic of Biafra, founder and Director of Radio Biafra, Mr Nnamdi Kanu has pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to a treasonable felony charges level against him  in  an Abuja based High court.

Kanu  who was arrested in October by the Department of states service when he arrived the country for allegedly managing an unlawful society, unlawful possession of firearms and concealing an import of a radio transmitter, also heads the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) group with the intention of levy war against Nigeria was remanded in prison until a bail application on the 25^th of January.

Authority in Abuja however has refused to release him leading to various protest across the eastern part of Nigeria by IPOB supporters demanding for his release and voicing their call for a breakaway state which has led to the deaths of many protesters while confronting the Nigerian Army
