Dasukigate: Falae lied ..Ogun SDP..

By Ayo Ademokoya
Contrary to the statement by the chairman of Social Democratic Party,  former presidential aspirant under the defunct alliance for Democracy (AD) , and former Finance minister who later rose to be the secretary to the federal government of Nigeria under RTD General Ibrahim Babangida, Chief Olu Falae that the 100million naira given to him from the $2.1bilion misappropriated arms deal fund handed  to him by Chief Tony Annenih ,former PDP Chairman Board of Trustee of People’s democratic party from the former director  National Security Adviser ,Col Sambo Dasuki  for mobilizing his party to support the second term bid of president Goodluck Jonanthan  in the last general election, the ogun state chapter of the party has come out to deny of having any knowledge of the said amount not to talk of disbursing a dime to the chapter.

In a statement jointly signed by its chairman, Olu Agemo and Secretary, Clement Adeniyi stating that Social Democratic party  Ogun state was never a party  to the deal with the PDP or the distribution of funds. The duo said it was shocking for most member of the party to hear their National Chairman receiving such money on their behalf and urge them to remain calm and awaiting the general congress where these issues shall be resolved.
He however assured the party faithful that the party would continue to function within the ambit of the lay down ethics and norms established by their progenitor.
He however said that SDP has been so transparent in his activities as sources of campaign funds were published in the Guardian, Vanguard, Punch and Tribune newspapers on the 20th of April so it’s shocking for us to hear this revelations as Chief Falae never declare to the party such amount.
