I told Alao-Akala that he would regret his decision not to join APC….
Chief Akin Oke, Oyo state APC chairman
By Ayo Ademokoya…
(Chief Akin Oke immediately after Senator Ajimobi won the 2015 governoship election in an exclusive interview held at his ogbomosho residence predicted that Akala would regret his action for not joining the Action People's Congress despite all what the party did for him to step down for Ajimobi...
The story is published in major newspapers in Nigeria and like a sage which Akin Oke is,Akala has now eat up the dust to join the APC, a gesture he once turned down which could have been more glorious for him then. Enjoy the interview.)

Oyo state chairman of All Progressive Congress, Chief Akin Oke has finally opened up on the pact between APC and the former Governor of Oyo state and the Gubernatorial candidate for the just concluded election under the platform of the Labour Party, Chief Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala where he lost to the incumbent Governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi saying that he knew and him that he (Akala) would regret his action for refusing to join APC as earlier agreed between both parties.
Chief Oke who spoke with mixed feelings to Daily Sun  at his residence in Ogbomoso shortly after the pronouncement of APC as the eventual winner of the Gubernatorial by INEC  on Sunday evening where he also  could not hide his displeasure at the attitude of the Ogbomoso people for refusing to align with the political change currently experienced across  the country by not voting for APC.

“ First,I am happy that our man in APC broke the jinx of returning for the second term in office of the government of Oyo state, a feat that none has achieved since the creation of the state in 1976, I am also not happy that Ogbomoso town where I hail from and its people refuse to vote for “Change”. “Akala is my brother and I love him so much for his philanthropic attitude but when he indicated his interest in staging a comeback to the government house as the governor of the state , we pleaded with him to dump the ambition and join APC where we had a pact with him which he agreed to and all his request were met.
“I never knew that he was only deceiving me as he we agreed to all his terms only for him to turn back and join Labour party.

“I had to confront him and told him he would regret his action and I’m glad he is presently.
On the issue of the reason for change in Oyo state Chief Akin Oke said that there is nothing for the people of Oyo state to show for from the Federal government despite the loyalty of my people in Ogbomoso to PDP

for 16years.
“ look at the dualisation of Oyo –Ogbomoso-ilorin road, it is disheartening to note that despite the support given to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state for 16 years all they did is to construct an highway from Ibadan to Oyo, overlooked Oyo to Ogbomoso and continue at the end of Ogbomoso to Ilorin, is that fair enough?, we believe that now that we have a government at the centre, we Yorubas would have a say in the construction of such vital roads that leads the south to the North as well as in the Area of Agriculture too.”
