How Civil defense Corps nabbed  money ritual killers near Oyo town

The Nigerian Security and Civil defense Corps, Oyo state command with the combine efforts of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) Oyo state on Saturday afternoon busted a six man gang of ritualists, Hamidu Ogunjinmi 42,(chief priest), Adebayo Azeez 33,( assistant),  and 4 other suspects, Serifatu Mufutau, Taiba lasisi, Waheed Wahab ,Oyeniran,Oyeniyi at Iware village, Afijio local government, Oyo town, Oyo state.

Three posh cars, one human head, 4 litres of keg filled with human blood, a coffin, various charms and drugs suspected to have soporific effects on their victims were all recover at the crime scene and brought to the Nigerian Security and  Civil defence headquarters at Aleshinloye, dugbe, Ibadan.

According to investigation which revealed the intelligence report from the civil defence corps that victims were brought to the vicinity and killed everyday inside the lone building in the bush while “big men” come around to purchase human parts for various purposes.

Our source, a member of the team who raided the hideout and prefer anonymity said that they have only busted one out of five hideouts they believe money rituals is taking place in the state and would not rest on their oars till this act is cleansed from the the state.

.“we heard that  men of the underworld  has a building inside a thick bush at Iware, about 5 kilometers from Oyo town very near Akinmorin and decided to monitor their activities in the last three weeks. Neighbour living around the place claim that often time they hear innocent people crying for help at about 1pm almost everyday,  sooner posh cars believed to the clients of these ritualists would  drive to the spot trek inside the bush  and then come out with various objects.
 Hamidu Ogunjinmi 42, of aba jagun, who claims to be a traditional healer for about a decade now said he moved to his new office inside the bush about two months ago and he was sleeping when he heard sporadic gun shot, came out of the room and found armed security men all around his office. He admitted consulting oracle for various customer but deny the fact that he purchased human heads for them. “I charged about 50,000 upward for money rituals and charge about 20,00 naira for human head. “What the Security people caught us with is just a makeshift human head made with akpu(fufu) and splashed with  the blood of animal to make it look real.”

                       
 His assistant  who claimed to be working with Hamidu for about three years now the same corroborated the story while speaking with daily sunsports and said he was shocked when the civil defense corp shooting at them sporadically,he said he had no option than to ran to his boss inside where both of them were caught.

 Serifatu Mufutau, and Taiba Lasisi, the two women caught at the premises said they were innocent. Serifatu claim to have come for the cure for his stomach trouble while Taiba said she sell hot drinks (paraga) at the park where Hamidu comes to take a sip. He said he was invited because Hamidu claim he could help him secure the juju that would stop thieves from raiding his shop has she just lost about 30,000 naira to thieves recently.

Waheed wahab  a cameraman said  he was invited by hamidu to come and do a video recording for him as usual before he was caught by the security at the place while Oyeniran, a local government worker claimed he was a victim of circumstance as he was caught in the web when few weeks ago his girlfriend introduced Hamidu to him and since then he has been hypnotised to the extent that they extort money from him now and then. He said he has just dropped another ten thousand naira for them when armed security personnel came to apprehend all of them.

The state commandant of the Nigerian Security and civil defences Corp,, Shem Obafaiye however advise the general public to be very carfeful of where they send their children to and desist from sending their children from running errand for them late in the night..
