TRAGEDY IN IBADAN!!! As survivors narrates divine escape from Trailer that kills Seven in Ibadan at the weekend

TRAGEDY IN IBADAN!!!
As survivors narrates divine escape from Trailer that  kills Seven  in Ibadan at the weekend

By Ayo Ademokoya

“I’m lucky to be alive today not by my own power as the whole thing happened within a minute.”

This and many more are some of the submission of Kafaya who on Monday morning narrated how it all happened and how she narrowly escaped being crushed by the rampaging trailer that killed 7 innocent people at the round-about junction, New -Garage, Ibadan on Saturday evening to www.harohkah.blogspot.com.ng

“We were sitting here (pointing at the shop) together with Iya Ope ( who was the 7th person to be crushed) at around 6:05pm when we saw the trailer coming from the Iwo road/Toll gate axis of the express. I believe the driver headed that way when he knew that the break of the trailer has failed.

“He did not know that the round- about has been enlarged because he must have been conversant with the old round about which was easy to navigate to podo/ Ijebu road unfortunately two Okada man was by the road and the trailer crushed the two of them and dragged the bodies along with him

“We weren’t expecting the trailer to face our side but immediately the driver knew that facing the Akala way to Odo-Ona would be much more a disaster because a lot of people, passengers and Okada riders are so much busy at that point in time.
He suddenly swerved back towards the Podo/Ijebu side before we could open our eyes the trailer jumped straight towards us, crushed four people inside the tricycle (Marwa) and killed the driver and three passengers inside it instantly.

"We ran for our live towards the opposite direction but Iya Ope could not make because she ran towards the shop not knowing that the trailer was actually heading towards the shop.
Her body was dismembered; her head cut off immediately. It was a tragedy.

The most unfortunate thing was that Iya- ope just came back to the junction not quiet ten minutes as she has been out since morning.

In fact she just did a wedding ceremony for her daughter recently and just last week Monday, some

members of her family came to stop her from selling Paraga ( hot drinks) at the joint.

Another eye witness ,Yusuf deals with electronics materials and the owner of the shop that was crushed by the trailer corroborated the story and said that the victims has been taken to Adeoyo state hospital. He however said that the driver is currently been detained at the Orita-Challenge divisional Police Station pleading to Nigerians to assist them not to allow the culprit go scot free.

Saturday 14th of November marked the 10th month when a trailer killed scores of people at the same spot.

By Ayo Ademokoya

One of the foremost Leaders of the Accord party,  Honourable Dr Bukola Ajaja, has urged Accord party faithful in the country especially in Oyo state to stay calm and be law abiding in their quest to reposition the party so as to reflect and operate in line with the party’s constitution and the constitution of a true, democratic political party of the federal Republic of Nigeria and rescue it  from impunity, nepotism, imposition and selfish interest of the privilege few who are out to destroy and destabilise the mega-party before leaving.

In a Press statement released and signed by the factional party secretary of  Accord Party in Oyo State and made available to Daily Sun, Mr Igbinsola Sunday which dealt with salient issues on the imbroglio of the National Secretary of the party, the position taken by INEC on the issue among others, The communiqués released  further revealed  that that accord Party is now undergoing restructuring which will see the party as a liberal party that believes in true democracy unlike the dictatorial manner which the party is been ran in the past

“We implore the general public to disregard any directive from the former National Secretary, Dr Nureni Adisa because he has since been relieved of his post while Mr Abdurahman Muhammed is the only Acting National Secretary of Accord party  representative of the  National Working Committee who has the right to speak on behalf of the National Secretariat of Accord in Oyo State,.

“Also, INEC can not disqualify any result of the State congress submitted to its office because all procedure of Pre and Post Congress was dully followed and observed for the conduct of the state congress under the Electoral Act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“We have served INEC an Expate Motion by Oyo State High over the conduct of the state Congresses Election of Accord party and soon INEC and the general Public would know real Accord Party members when the case is determined. Igbinsola concluded.
