Chairman Wikki Tourist FC of Bauchi, Honourable Isa Musa
Matori has assured teaming fans of Wikki not to lose hope in the team’s efforts
in trying to clinch the league title for the first time since the club was
formed in 1988, reiterating the fact that the league titled is still very open and
withing the reach of the club as they are not in the ancient city of Ibadan for
tourism

Professional football league against the Oluyole warriors of Shooting stars this
evening at the Lekan salami stadium,Adamasingba,Ibadan, through his newly

Tourists Footballl club of Bauchi,Kobi Abdulahi Nasiru who also doubles as the
Bauchi State Sports Writers Association chairman apologised for his inability
to directly speak with our team due to
fatigue and said his team will carry the day against Shooting Stars of Ibadan.
‘I am so sorry the chairman can not attend to you
now but he has given his word that his team did not come early to the ancient
city of Ibadan for tourism but to snatch the three maximum points and been in
contention to win the league.
‘I am just about 4 weeks on this job but as a
professional sports journalist I know we have to sympathise with our host(3SC)
because they need this match but not as much as we do because we belive the
league is still open.Shooting need this game to heave a sigh of relieve from
imminent relegation facing them if they lose because their last match is away
to heartland of Owerri who are also in the same precarious situation,
‘If not for few mistakes along the line, we could
have wrapped up the league by now because our statics is better off than the
league leaders.yet we are third with 54 points but with the best goals
aggregate of 18 while Rangers international of Enugu are with just 11 thought
with 57 points,Rivers United has just 8 with 56 points. We conceeded the least
goals in the ongoing league as well showing that we are better off in all
department and with a win here in Ibadan we would go home and seal up the .
‘We noticed our mistakes last year and we beefed up
those departments that we felt needed to be strengthened because it was painful
we lost the continental ticket to Nassarawa United with just two goals.
On the team’s readiness to stun Ibadan fans on
Sunday, Kobi Said the secret of his team is the determination.
‘ let me use this opportuinity that our motivating
factor is not monetary reward as Wikki Tourists too is feeling the cash crunch
facing other clubs in the country,the only difference is just that our boys are
very determined to win the league for the first time for Bauchi state since its
formation in 1992.
