Shooting stars, Crown FC set to meet on MKO Abiola    day

Pummelled Pacesetters, Shaki United by 4:0 a piece  at the semifinals of the AITEO Cup competition

Bode Daniels Shines by scoring a brace..

Ayobami, Yussuf , a delight to watch in the 3SC squad

Final now to be played on June 12 instead of  May 27

By Ayo Ademokoya

‘Bi orogun eni ba ju iya eni lo, Iya la pe’ goes the popular Yoruba adage that could best described the semi-final encounters of the ongoing Federation Cup now known as the AITEO cup between the duo of Shaki United of Shaki and Pacesetters FC of Ibadan who fell like cards of cards in front of the ‘almighties’ Shooting stars FC of Ibadan and Crown FC of Ogbomosho on Saturday afternoon the 26th of May 2017.
Shaki United who played scintillating football in the first half of the game which kicked off around 2pm lacked clinical finish in front of goals only to conceed four unreplied goals in the second half with Bode Daniels scoring a brace within five minutes he spent on the field of play as a substitute.

After playing to gallery in the first half, the technical crew of Crown FC proved their superiority over their brothers from Oke-Oogun in the 47th minutes from a goalkeeping blunder to make it 1-0.

Bode Daniel who was brought into the game as a substitute in the 55th minutes of play was the star of the match as he pumped in two goals in the 57th  and 62nd minutes to take the game beyond Shaki United.

The 4th goal came in the dying minutes of the second half and took the game beyond the expectation of the Shaki boys who had the high hopes of wrestling a slot out of the two slots allocated for Oyo state been dominated by the duo of Shooting star FC and Crown of Ogbomosho for the past 13 years by qualifying for the finals.

The second semi-final match between Shooting stars and Pacesetters FC which ended  4:0 in favour of 3SC was more or less a training encounter for the Oluyole warriors as midfield maestro Ayobami  who netted the second goal to the admiration of the fans present  was unarguably the man of the match of the encounter

Within the space of 5 minutes to the commencement of the match Shooting stars recorded two quick goals before Ayobami and Issa scored the 3rd and the fourth goal.
It is now crystal clear that football shooting the federation Cup grip held by the duo of shooting stars and crown FC for the past 13 years in Oyo state could not be removed by other teams in the state who remains minnows in battle when confronting the duo.

However the final of the AITEO Cup which was scheduled to take place on Sunday the 27th of May (Children’s Day) has been shifted to the 12th of June, 2018(Abiola Day)
It is on record that the Federation Cup was won last 20 years ago by 3SC and Crown FC was controversially bundled out of the competition at the semi-final of the cup by Ifeanyi Ubah and hopefully the duo will give a better representation when the competition kicks off at the national level.

Alaafin spits fire!!!
Demand   for   the   return of       Regional system of government….
Says enough is enough….

By Ayo Ademokoya

Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has implored the Federal government to return power to regionals as it was practised before the military coup of 1966, saying the idea of federal character has eroded merit in the country.

Oba Adeyemi made this known at a conference organised by Yoruba KO'YA Movement in Oyo State on Tuesday. The event, which focused on issue of herdsmen-farmer crisis, had in attendance the Aare Onakakafo of Yoruba Land, Aare Gani Adams; Retired Arch-Bishop of Methodist Church, Ayo Ladigbolu; retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Tunji Alapini; eminent scholar, Professor Wale Fatunde, media entrepreneur, Otunba ‘Deji Osibogun and a host of other yoruba groups.
The paramount king said: "Regionalism is the way out; the current quasi-federal system of government would continue to promote hunger, ethnic intimidation, religion intolerance, infrastructure decadence.

I demand for a return to where we were before 1966.
“Before the military coup of 1966 spearheaded mainly by the northerners, what we had was a regional system of government where every region controls their resources; but after they took over, they moved everything away from the region to the centre, rendering thee region powerless.

" The first monarch, who spoke in Yoruba, went through memory lane to remind the Yoruba ethnic group of how they have always been at the fore front of happenings in the country but how everything changed when "the northern soldiers came and destroyed everything; they said no more regionalism, they deceived Nigerians by establishing federal character which schemed out merit, they created Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), which is now causing 'Ijamba' to Nigerians". Speaking further, he said:
“Today, a Yoruba man will score 240 while a Hausa man will score 120, yet they are both offered admission to study same course in the same university, they created educationally dis-advantaged states to their favour. Enough is enough.”

FIVE    YEARS   AFTER RASHIDI YEKINI’S DEATH

True    life story as  followed by Aroka with real pictures to back all interviews and interactions

Younger Sister, Rofiat died after 2 year of his death.

Younger Brother Akeem died 5years after his death.
Immediate Younger Brother Ismaila set to unravel mystery.
www.harokah.blogspot.com.ng
Summarises the first five years of life after the death of Rashidi Yekini ..

Read it with sober reflections

By Ayo Ademokoya

Sometimes in April 2013, Rashidi Yekini, the Nigeria and Africa’s goal king was suddenly abducted by people suspected to be members of his family under the guise of taking him to an abode where he would be cured for the rumoured mental state of health.
For three weeks nobody knew where he was taken to until Friday 4th of May, when his demise was suddenly announced.

This tragic news sent shock waves across Africa as Rashidi was buried amidst suspicions that he must have been murdered. The attendees at his burial could notice blood gushing out of his mouth and nostril.

Chief Segun Odegbami was in the fore front in unravelling what exactly killed Rashidi,
His Lawyer Jibril Mohammed was in great shock to hear that his client who was never mad was forcefully abducted for an ailment he suffers not from.

Till date there was no clue to what actually led to Rashidi Yekini’s death.
For good four years, Aroka was everywhere investigating what really happened as there was confusion everywhere.

In the long run, the whole scenario was handed over to God to judge…
Sikiratu, Mother of Rashidi Yekini was in tears,

‘How could I have had a hand in the death of my son? ’
Rofiat swore by Ogun-god of Iron that she only took her brother to a place where he could be cured of insanity…

Akeem cried and lamented the death of the only breadwinner of the family…
My brother was very nice to us all. He was the one behind my becoming a professional footballer…
When I could no longer played football.. he bought me an Eighten siter Bus for commercial purposes…
Who killed my brother..???

In April 2015, exactly 2 years of the month Rashidi was abducted…
Rofiat had a ghastly motor accident on her way back from Oshogbo to Ijagbo…

What a coincidence
Life continued as usual

Mother was accused of being poor and neglected…
Despite evidneces that Rashidi built a 6bedroom flat for his mother…
Yet…

She claimed nobody is there for her…
Akeem was in the fore front of the campaign…
Nigerian rose up to help…
The Senate President rose up to help…
Gifts poured in for the mother from right left and centre..

But to the lawyer …
Who will cater for the Children of the dead …
First daughter Yemisi, was struggling hard to complete her studies in the United Kingdom…
Second Duaghter Yemi, was struggling hard to get an admission to the University of Ilorin…
Who will help them…
Yemisi came down from the United Kingdom together with her sister …
Our father was not mad…
Our father was hale and hearty …
Nigerians, help us find out what killed our father…
Nobody could rise up…

Some promised these children scholarships…
So much unfulfilled promises to the children of the fatherless…
Yet they struggled…

The first daughter who later gained an admission to University of Ilorin is almost rounding up her studies…
While the first daughter came out in flying colours from the Leicester City University …
Everyone lives their lives…
Alas…
On the 5th of May 2018…
Exactly 5 years when Rashidi deft this sinful world…
Akeem started vomiting blood…
News had it that Akeem died of penury too ..despite the fact that his mother Sikiratu was made a millionaire overnight by MTN..
Or have you forgotten seeing her on 'Who deserved to be a millionaire?'

Anyway , Akeem  died on the 6th of May, 2018…
Exactly the 5th year Rashidi Yekini was buried…

This is a real life story..
And it just for the records…

As the story unfolds …Nigerians…
Please complete this story for Aroka…..
