Pomp, pageantry as ALAAFIN celebrates own quadruplets.

Last week Sunday 22nd of April 20018, www, harohkah, blogspot, com.ng was at the Palace of his Royal Majesty, Alaafin of Oyo,  Oba (Dr.) Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi 111, to celebrate the naming ceremony of his newly born babies...The Quadruplets !!!

Oba Adeyemi would be 80 years this October and still scoring crucial goals...What are you waiting for?
Why can't you just read the story to get details...
Enjoy it by clicking to www.harohkah.blogspot.com,ng

Like most of the tribes in Nigeria, multiple births were considered evil or abnormal in Yoruba land, as those children were used to be eliminated.
Isokun, a small town now in the suburb area of the present Oyo town was assumed to be the source of the first known Ibeji [twins] in Nigeria at least among the Yoruba.
This is because twin babies were unusual and tiny at birth. They were not considered normal birth, but were seen as monkeys, hence they were called Edun [a local word for apes or monkeys].
Twin babies are praised as Ejire ara Isokun ( the strange two births from Isokun)
The first to come out of the twin at birth is called Taiwo, Taye, Taiyelolu or Tai depending on which ever way it is comfortable with the parent.
The first is not the elder by the doctrines and the belief of the Yoruba, the second twin baby called Kehinde is referred to in Yoruba land as ‘A kehinde gba Egbon’, meaning, [the last is actually the senior of the two].

The Yoruba believe that Kehinde must have sent Taiwo to come out first to see if the world is good for the two of them.
Findings revealed that the twin babies represent passages and gateways to new realities and even
alternate realms.
Yoruba people believe that twins are semi-divine and possess special powers.
However, there was pomp and pageantry last Sunday at the ancient palace in Oyo town, when the monarch, His Imperial Majesty, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba [Dr.] Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi 111, celebrated his baby triplets.

Two of the monarch’s wives [Ayaba] gave birth to the quadruplet at different times.
While Ayaba Memunat Adeyemi Omo 1 was the first to give birth to female twins, Ayaba Badirat delivered her own male twins barely nine days after.
Traditionally, after child delivery in the palace, Islamic clerics will be invited to give names to the child eight days after birth. Thereafter, a day will be chosen for the celebration of the child.
If the child is the first to be delivered by an Ayaba, some traditional rites will first be performed before the naming, after which such a child will be celebrated at a chosen date.
The colourful event was attended by traditional rulers from Lagos, Osun and Oyo States, members of the Oyo Traditional Council [Oyo Mesi], son of the Alaafin and a member of the House of Representatives representing Oyo Federal Constituency [Afijio, Atiba, Oyo-West and Oyo-East], Senator, representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Alhaja Monsurat Sunmonu, and other invited guests.
Popular Fuji star, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi, a k a Pasuma, and his band entertained guests with hilarious music.

News.....MINISTER GOES SPIRITUAL !

Engages Marabouts etc to save job....
Top Muslim Clerics wades in, arranged  Peace meeting between Shittu and former aides..

In a desperate bid to save his job and deal with perceived enemies, the Minister of Communications, Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu has sent one of his close associates, Lukman Onaoloapo, the Coordinator, Concerned Muslims, to Oro and Ilorin both in Kwara State to enlist the powers of marabouts, an investigation has revealed.

The embattled minister, who has been parading himself as an Alfa and leader of the Sunni Muslim faith but according to investigation, cannot read the Holy Quran in Arabic and interpret it accordingly. According to investigations,he resolved characteristically, to enlist the services of juju men and Marabouts to deal with his perceived enemies and protect his job by ‘keeping President Buhari in line’ for permanent favour.

Investigations also revealed that the news of the latest surreptitious move by the embattled minister who has continued to suffer massive public condemnation from the barrage of his official misdeeds and corruption being exposed by his tyrannized former aides, was leaked when one of his associates, Tajudeen Kareem, boasted to a group of people that he will surprise his enemies by becoming the next Governor of Oyo State.

According to the source who later relayed the news and warned one of his former aides, who has also vowed that the fight to expose Shittu’s many atrocities and corrupt acquisition of properties in Abuja, Lagos and Ibadan, is irreversible.Tajudeen Kareem further boasted that Adebayo Shittu has set aside  N5 million for his desperate bid to ‘keep President Buhari in line’ and ‘destroy all his enemies’.

Still basking in the euphoria of his new found association with the embattled minister, Tajudeen Kareem, was reported to have unknowingly mentioned some of the targets of Shittu Adebayo’s new spiritual offensive and war.

Those Kareem was said to have boastfully mentioned that apart from President Buhari who ‘will not be able to do anything to Shittu until 2019,’ include Engineer Peters, CEO of an Abuja-based contracting firm, Dr. Yunus Akintunde, a 2019 APC gubernatorial hopeful in Oyo State, Sulaiman Abiodun Oyaremi, Sheikh Tajudeen Imam and Victor Oluwadamilare, the beleaguered minister’s former SA (Special Duties) and SA (Media) respectively who have ceaselessly engaged him in media war to expose his meanness, corrupt enrichment since 2015 in defiance of the Buhari administration’s tough stance on graft and other official and personal proclivities.

In a related development, top Muslim clerics in Oyo state has decided to wade into the ongoing imbroglio by organising a peace meeting between the Honourable Minister for Communications and his enstranged aides.
The meeting is schedule to hold on saturday the 21 of April 2018 by 10.am morning

2019: WHAT ABOUT KWANKWANSO ?

By Victor Oluwadamilare

"If a thing is not building, it must be decaying . . ."

Nigeria today is a country desperately in search of right leadership–leadership in all spheres of her national life. The civilian administration of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from 1999 to 2015, at the Federal level and in many of the states, ended in colossal failure. The PDP, which had boasted of ruling Nigeria for 60 years, caved in 44 years earlier than its projection.

While key members of the ruling elite became billionaires, and were living like medieval lords, the Nigerian people were impoverished to no end.  Most families could no longer guarantee three square meals; life became "nasty, brutish and short”.
It was in the midst of this uncertainty and near hopelessness that the elections of 2015 produced the Change Mantra exponent, President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC.  Granted that the APC government inexplicably inherited loads of problems from its predatory predecessor, the seemingly display of lack of preparation for governance has continued to be a feature of the administration
According to Opposition Leader, Keith Rowley in Trinidad Express of 10th April, 2013, "Anytime a government resorts to blaming the opposition for its failure to deliver on their mandate and their responsibilities to the people, it is a clear sign that it has accepted that it has outlived its usefulness."

For sure, the APC government cannot be said to be a total failure in many respects like development of infrastructure, war against corruption, tackling the insurgency problem among others. Also, it could be said that the level of impunity as we used to know has considerably reduced, while government Ministries, Departments and Agencies have shown better restraint in their nefarious activities of old.
However, the APC government has been flawed in many ways. The conduct and character of the National Assembly strangely known to be controlled by the same party, APC has not helped matters.  Importantly, the APC as a party in government lacked cohesion, even in the absence of a virile opposition.  Many reasons had been adduced for the internal combustion going on in the APC. But the sad import of it all is that the Nigerian voting populace has been shortchanged on their hard-earned investment of voting for Change which has remained elusive in the last three years.

If the postulation of Opposition Leader, Keith Rowley in the Trinidad Express, was anything to go by, there is need for another change. And, one of the men naturally positioned for this change is the cerebral two-term former Governor of Kano State, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso, RMK, for short.
RMK, a man imbued with tremendous leadership qualities is a tested politician who can also be trusted. He is a detribalised Nigerian and a well grounded grassroots mobilizer, whose central focus was and is still the people. Across his political trajectory, he displayed a caring heart filled with compassion and passion of servi

ce touching the lives of citizens profoundly.

In his political evolution, he discovered early the nexus between trust and loyalty as a balancing act among leaders and their followership. He was able to leverage a unique model of community leadership, a compelling ability to inspire, organize and mobilize people to achieve greater success for the benefit of all.

For RMK, trust must be visible and transparent for a corresponding participation and support from the people to achieve a desirable impact. This principle formed the basis of his KWANKWASIYYA IDEOLOGY "premised on gaining and honouring the trust bestowed on leadership by the people to deliver visible and impact full succour to the less privileged in the society, irrespective of political, religious and ethnic leanings."
Politics meant different things to many people. RMK is very clear in his thought process. To him, "Politics is a formidable vehicle for delivering the  much -needed empowerment and relief to the teeming mass of the less privileged and the completely helpless and forgotten in the society. "

While many are given to sycophancy and lip service, RMK took the bull by the horn, believing that politics should not be left in the hands of the charlatans. He resigned from a prospective career in the Civil Service in 1992 after a meritorious 17 years stint as a water engineer.  That was the beginning of his meteoric rise to stardom in his home state, Kano and nationally.
RMK, an excellent manager of men and resources, has as his selling point the uncanny ability to unite people of different backgrounds and beliefs, work for sustainable peace and diligently mobilize resources to achieve optimum goal.  It is an attestation to his unique leadership traits that in the short-lived 3rd Republic; he was elected under the platform of the Social Democratic Party, SDP into the House of Representatives, representing Madobi Federal Constituency, Kano State.  He later emerged as the Deputy Speaker, an affirmation of his political sagacity.

In 1994, RMK, a morally upright and insightful politician was again elected Member, Constitutional Conference, where he met and worked together with the late Gen. Musa Yar'Adua, a romance that culminated to the formation of People Democratic Movement, PDM. Due to the politics of that era, the PDM was not registered as a political party.  This made him and his teeming supporters to join the Democratic Party of Nigeria, DPN, winning the largest number of local governments due to his mastery of grassroots politics made possible by his popularly acclaimed KWANKWASIYYA IDEOLOGY.

RMK who recognizes and work for the social contract with his people had no difficulty in clinching the PDP's gubernatorial primary elections.  A great unifier, RMK won the 1999 general elections to become the first civilian Governor of Kano State in the 4th Republic.  His achievements in office are legendary. They  ranged  from the Community Reorientation Committee, CRC, to serve as a vehicle for social sector development to many laudable innovations like the Free School Feeding Programme, which were later copied across the country.

In 2003, he sacrificed his re-election bid because of his loyalty to President Olusegun Obasanjo and the PDP, at a time when anti -party activities got to a point that some PDP governors were playing double game.  This rare display of loyalty, party discipline and political maturity earned him the appointment as Minister of Defence. Later in 2006, he was appointed Special Adviser on Darfur and Somalia to President Obasanjo.  He was also a former Board Member, NNDC representing the North West geo-political zone. He later voluntarily resigned due to the endemic corruption in the corporation.

Again in 2011, RMK was on song, as his election victory for the second time as Kano State Governor was historic and unprecedented. He won the election without holding any political appointment or support from the Federal Government.  He reaped bountifully from his rich investment of transparency and strength of character in pursuing social contract with his people, a project of 18 unbroken years. A trustworthy man, full of integrity, Kwankwanso is ready, willing and able to take Nigeria out of the woods.

"Look for three things in a person - intelligence, energy and integrity. If they don't have the last one, don't even bother with the first two, "says W. Buffet.
Good enough, Kwankwanso personifies W. Buffet’s entire principles of leadership. The icing on the cake for Kwankwanso is that he has a good quantum of integrity the office of the president requires for optimum performance to unleash Nigeria’s inherent greatness to humanity.

FOUR YEAR OLD JOINS SHOOTING STARS!!!

By Ayo Ademokoya

Shooting Stars Sports Club on Saturday the 14th of April officially kicked off her  well organised football academy in style. The Opening ceremony which had the Honourable Commissioner for Sports, Barrister Yomi Oke, Chairman of the Club Gbolagade Busari, General Manager of the Club, Mr Rasheed Balogun and notable ex-players of the club who had played the game to the highest level were in attendance.

However out of the 176 boys registered for the academy, www.harohkah.blogspot,com.ng  noticed a little boy among the those registered for the academy and decided to follow him up on Tuesday the 17th of April at the clubs  training ground, Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba Ibadan.
Sarafa Hassan who will be five years old in June 2018, was spotted holding tightly to the ball under the tutelage of the chief coach and Manager, Charles Adeyemo as he excitedly kicks and throws the ball around to the delight of fans who were amazed at the enthusiasm of the little boy and were full of praises for the father for taking up the responsibility of registering him
38 year old father of the boy, Wahab Sarafa Hazan a carpenter who lives somewhere around Airport road, Alakia Ibadan during a telephone interview further revealed to www.harohkah.blogspot.com.ng that Sarafa is his only son  and he will do everything to make sure that the boy’s talents is fully developed.

‘Boolu Alagboole lawa gba’ ( I only played street football) was is response when we began the interview that is why I am very grateful to the Honourable commissioner for Sports and the entire management of Shooting stars for the initiative, without it my little boy would not have the opportunity I don’t have.

‘It all began when my wife Mutiatu. A petty trader often tell me how my boy finds delight in kicking stones whenever she takes him out . I began to take note and found out it true because he is always with swollen toes as a result of kicking stones here and there. From there, neighbours began to advise me that I should find a way to encourage him to play football because football seems natural with him. The opportunity came when I was told that 3SC is running a jingle on radio about starting a football academy,

‘That was how I came to Adamasingba stadium to enquire three days before the official opening and right there he began to kick stones again, people around began to tell ;e again that this boy is a born footballer. I am ready to do everything for him even at the expense of my work to bring him daily to training after school.

I have bought all they asked me to buy, the jerseys ,  boots  and other kits needed and I believe God will help me in this endeavour because it is not easy .I’m even ready to contribute to the academy if God blesses me because what I saw on ground does what.’ He concluded

Shittu, a Sinking, Drunk Sailor–Sheikh Tajudeen Imam

My attention has been drawn to the reaction of the Minister of Communications, Alhaji Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu, to my interview published in the New Telegraph of Saturday April 7, 2018.
Ordinarily, I would have ignored the uninformed and malicious insinuations contained in the said rebuttal, but for the benefit of those who may be misled by the Minister's outburst and infantile disclosures.
For the avoidance of doubt, it is regrettable that Shittu is carrying on like a drunken sailor, a malady that enveloped him a few months back.  It is evidently clear that the Minister needs help, as he picks quarrel with his benefactors and loyalists at the slightest opportunity. Public spirited individuals should come to his aid before it is too late as his family members seem helpless in this regard.
For the records, the vacuous claim by Shittu that the party, the APC facilitated his appointment could only be true in his delusion. It was on record that the party hierarchy in Oyo State, under Governor Abiola Ajimobi was vehemently opposed to his choice as Minister in 2015. To underscore this fact, newspapers advertorials were placed to openly canvass against him.  So, if Shittu is now claiming that the same party brought him to office as Minister that could only be symptomatic of his character and lack of integrity that many people have complained about.
In the same vein, Shittu's disclosures about the highly respected Sheikh Yakub, Alarama Aliyas Birni Gwari and other notables from Katsina State, is a direct assault on the person and integrity of President Muhammadu Buhari. In fact, it is a calculated attempt by Shittu in his power stupor to bring the President to disrepute and public odium. This is a man, who, when it is convenient for political reasons, calls Buhari his role model and mentor.
Information in the public domain indicates that Shittu is a name dropper, and only interested in using the President's name for personal aggrandisement and to hoodwink political actors and unsuspecting people in Oyo State to get the APC's ticket ostensibly through the back door. It is on record that Shittu has lied against Mr. President severally for his selfish interest.
Shittu also claimed in his feeble rejoinder that the position of Special Assistant, Special Duties he gave to me was initially penciled down for a serving career officer by the Federal Government.  If this is true, will it not be correct to hazard the guess that Shittu is a saboteur within, working against the Federal Government.  Little wonder, things were not moving as expected in his ministry. One only wonders, other things he would have done secretly against the government he took an oath to serve without fear or favour.
As a matter of fact, if in contravention of clearly spelt out government directive, Shittu in his wisdom appointed me as a Special Assistant, don't I deserve to be adequately remunerated for 25 months of unblemished service to the Federal Government? It is instructive to note that for all advice I gave to him as a Muslim brother and an SA, he arrogantly turned them down. He behaves like Mr. Know All. In fact, the air of arrogance around Shittu as a Minister is simply indescribable, but I stayed on to see if I could be of help to him as a Muslim.
All the innuendo contained in Paragraph Six of Shittu's lamentations in relation to 'contract that later degenerated' and other stuffs are incongruent to the issue at stake.  The issue on the front burner is the full payment of my emoluments for the quality services rendered as Special Assistant to him for 25 months. The substitution of name calling for good argumentation, to say the least, is unbecoming of a Cabinet Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria–it is least expected of a man who parades himself as a symbol of Islam.
The allusion that the former Commissioner for Works in Oyo State, Dr. Yunus Akintunde, is Shittu's enemy raises the poser: Could human memory be this short? The man Shittu had been telling people that I and the erstwhile Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Victor Oluwadamilare, had connived with by 'disclosing sensitive and privileged information’ is the same person who to the best of my knowledge supported Shittu morally and financially in 2015, when he had nothing.  It was the same Akintunde who brought the sum of N8 Million cash for the payment of rent for a duplex for the Minister at the Apo Legislative Quarters, Abuja before he moved to his newly acquired N280 Million residence in 2017 from ground zero in 2015!
On the death of my wife and son in very harrowing circumstances, which the Minister found convenient to play politics with, it is my prayers that Allah will surely reward him accordingly, if it well to tow that line of thought. My deceased wife left four other children, the eldest being nine years old, and it is my responsibility to ensure that they are well taken care of. This necessitated the need to marry another wife so as to ensure that the children do not lack motherly care.  Most importantly, I took that decision to insulate myself from the kind of wayward, notorious and un-Islamic life style of Shittu with women, particularly since he was appointed Minister.
It is a matter of concern that Shittu is a morally bankrupt person. I believe it should interest the Nigerian public that as soon as he became Minister, he took the former Treasurer of the defunct CPC in Oyo State, Bimbola as number four wife, ostensibly to compensate her for making party money available to him in the CPC days, albeit illegally.  To the glory of Allah, Bimbola became pregnant. Shortly after, Shittu was again attracted to another 17-year-old girl called Amina. Shittu then called me and said he was no longer interested in Bimbola and her pregnancy. I strongly advised him against such a decision, telling him that such a move is un-Islamic and wicked, more so that he had no valid reasons for such a decision, but as usual, he refused bluntly.
To pave way for him to marry his latest catch, Shittu in his characteristic manner sent Bimbola packing with the pregnancy.  Shittu then abandoned Bimbola in the house they were living together and moved to another house.  He later clandestinely married Amina at a low key ceremony in Oyo in 2017. When he was challenged, Shittu gave reasons that were largely un-Islamic and also shameful.
Shittu left Bimbola to suffer untold hardship before and after childbirth. It is curious that Christians took up Bimbola and her daughter's upkeep, before I rallied the support of the Prince & Princess Central Mosque Women Wing in Gudu District, Abuja, for further assistance for the wife and child abandoned by Adebayo Shittu in most horrendous manner.  Suffice to add that he neither showed up at the naming ceremony nor made any provision for their upkeep!
To confirm Shittu's unreliability, he had started seeing the purportedly divorced wife, Bimbola discreetly.  To entice her back, Shittu paid the sum of N3.5 Million for Bimbola and her under-aged daughter to perform last Hajj, aside the N25 Million two flats he bought for her in Ibadan, Oyo State and a N3.2 Million American Spec Toyota Matrix car. Shittu was doing all of these while my own family was left to suffer working for him with all my capabilities.
The veiled appeal to the people of Oyo State about the 2019 elections, and the so called credentials of Shittu, are all well documented and in the public domain.  There are no development issues or plans that Shittu could come up with, as it is a generally known fact that an analog person like Shittu has no place in a digital economy. Imagine, Shittu, a Minister of Communications CANNOT and DOES NOT know how to switch on and operate any computer device–laptop or desktop!
Is it not strange that Shittu called me a 'Small Fry '? I must be a 'small fry 'indeed, because he is arrogantly sitting on my 25 months emoluments. But, I was not a 'small fry ' in 2013 when I held sway at his daughter's wedding that coincided with your 60th birthday anniversary.
It is inconceivable that almost three years as Minister; Shittu is yet to pay for the cow slaughtered at his daughter's wedding, granted that he had no money between 2013 and 2015. Shittu is someone who hardly remembers the good things done for him, as it is his legendary trademark as an ingrate. For instance, shortly before his appointment in 2015, I was responsible for buying foodstuffs for his various household.  Yet, Shittu finds it convenient to call me a 'small fry '.
On Shittu's appointment, I discovered to my shock that the dresses he brought from Ibadan were of poor quality and were badly sewn, unbefitting of his office.  To Shittu, he saw nothing wrong in his poor appearances being an educated illiterate. But, I came to his rescue as a 'small fry '! I commissioned an Abuja based fashion designing company, to produce nine pairs of modern Babaringa for the Minister. He took him more than one and half years to pay part of the charges, leaving a staggering amount unpaid till date. Shittu's unpaid debt unfortunately, has become an issue of ridicule to me, his facilitator and guarantor, both within the Estate and in the mosque, where I'm the Chief Imam in Abuja.
It is incontrovertible whether Shittu likes it or not, that it is on record that I remain his indisputable guarantor -to our Northern clerics-for the office he presently occupies. If Shittu now gallivants all over the place like a ship without an anchor, the opportunity to put him where he rightly belongs beckon in no distant future, In sha Allah.
It is however, important to advise Shittu to desist from his evil ways, as no amount of money spent on a wrong course would achieve any desired results.  Equally, all the Minister's evil machinations on me and others he unjustly targets, being coordinated on his behalf by Alhaji Lukman Onaolapo, Tajudeen Kareem, Malik Aderogba, Saheed Oladele and other co-travellers, shall amount to nothing.
The continued search for Marabouts and Juju men  (Babalawo) across Nigeria will only end in shame. This trend, which I considered a dangerous one for the entire Shittu family, because of his desperation to become the next governor of Oyo State will only end in misery. Shittu should not forget that it is only Allah that gives power to whom He wishes.  From this latest developments, it is regrettable that Shittu's appearance as a Muslim is quite misleading and gravely unfortunate.
For all those supporting Shittu on this destructive move, particularly against me and by extension, leading him astray from the holy ways of Allah for pecuniary interest, shall not evade the wrath of Allah, in this life and in the hereafter.
Meanwhile, Shittu should be rest assured that the battle line has just been drawn.
