Lagos Televison, NUJ week 2015: Pen Babes wallopped Pen pals in a novelty match

Members of Nigerian Union of Journalists ,Lagos Televison Chapel, yesterday kick-started their 2015 edition of the  press week by playing the much talked about novelty football match involving the Pen babes FC (female football team of Lagos Television) defeating Penpals (their male counter parts) 8-2  at Eko FM sports Arena.

 The fun filled  football encounter brought out  the best of football artistry in both sides   and was witnessed by the former Senate member  of the federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon, the President General, Nigerian Football and other sports Supporters Club, Dr Rafiu Ladipo, the General Manager ,Lagos Television, Mr  Deji Balogun, General Manager Radio Lagos,Eko FM Mrs Funke More,General Manager Lagos Traffic Radio,Mr Yinka Adagun and other top notch in in the world of journalism graced the occasion.

Speaking to News men after the match, the highly elated Dr Rafiu Ladipo said that honoured to be invited and saw the event as an avenue to  back the entire management and staff  of LTV in General who had been very supportive of the vision of not only the supporter club in Nigeria but football and journalism as a whole.

He however stressed the need to celebrate journalist now and give them their dues as they play pivotal role in nation building hence the reason for his leading the best of his team to roll out the drums in other to add glamour to the event.

The female team captain of Pen Babes  Bukola Akin – Koleoso who lifted the trophy on behalf of the female team said she is proud of what her teammate did and boasted that they are ready to defeat the guys any day, anytime, anywhere.
