Dikko defends Iwobi's call up to the Super Eagles ahead of Iheanacho
 By Ayo Ademokoya
(This is one story I hate to remember...why? don't worry, just enjoy it.It was written on the 25th of Septemebr ,2015 and went viral on the social network and major newspapers in Nigeria.)

Chairman, League Management Company  Shehu Dikko has defended the inclusion of Arsenal FC of England teenage sensation ahead of Manchester City star Kelechi Iheanacho into the Nigerian Super Eagles

Reacting to the question raised by Ayo Ademokoya on the social media that Alex Iwobi was probably invited ahead of Iheanacho due to the fact that the former has close affinity to the Super Eagles gaffer   being a nephew to Austin Jay Jay Okocha which gave him an advantage over Kelechi  who perhaps has no Godfather in the Super Eagles, Dikko said
"Gentlemen, let's all understand and appreciate the logic here. The call up to Iwobi is simple a footballing as well technical one and for the Good of the country. Iwobi has declared intention to represent Nigeria and he is good enough to represent Nigeria at U23 level. However, as he has played for England at the Junior
Level he cannot play for Nigeria again at the junior level as FIFA would only approve his change of Nationality if he plays for the main Super Eagles. Therefore, his call up now is to get his nationality
change sorted and thus makes him available to play for the Nigeria U23 If selected. Hence Oliseh call him up on the request of Siasia whom want to use him for the U23 and by this action Nigeria will have secured his allegiance and this would also further motivate other players like him to come along. Finally on footballing terms, the potential of Iwobi is not in doubt based on what he did during Arsenal pre-season so in the long term this might be a very good decision for Nigeria and Iwobi."
