Baba Ganaru for Wikki Tourists job?
By Ayo Ademokoya
The Coach who led Kano Pillars to Back to Back’
winning of the Nigerian Football Professional league title in 2012/2013 and
2013/2014 season, Mohammed Baba Ganaru has been highly favoured to take over
from Abdul Maikaba who was confirmed to have officially resigned his job as the
gaffer of Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi to Akwa United of Uyo this morning by www.harohkah.blogspot.com.ng
According to our source, Baba Ganaru who led Kano
Pillars to a disappointing 10th position in the just concluded NPFL
season is highly favoured ahead three other top coaches in Nigeria for his
exploit in the league and his experience in the continent with Kano Pillars.
‘As I’m talking to you right now, I’m confident that
Baba Ganaru may likely be Kano Pillars Coach despite his performance with Kano
Pillars this season. The management believes he has what it takes to lead the
team to a more glorious position at the end of the day and we believe with him
the club will perform the best in the CAF Cup competition’.
On whether employing the new coach would destroy the
telepathy and the cohesion in the team, our source said it will not as the
management is convinced Baba Ganaru and Maikaba have something similar in
common as they had worked together in one capacity or the other in Kano and
would in other words keep the tradition of the beautiful style of play and free
flow of football which Wikki Tourists is known for in the last three seasons.
