Playing  home    away from home, our greatest undoing…
Jadda, Wikki Tourist GM

By       Ayo Ademokoya

General Manager of Wikki Tourist Football club, Honourable Auwalu Baba Jadda has revealed to www.harohkah.blogspot.com.ng  reasons behind their not too encouraging performance in the first stanza of the ongoing Nigerian Professional Football League and the solution for the team to get back to reckoning.

Speaking to Aroka on a telephone interview before their rescheduled  game against Plateau United of Jos at the midweek where they picked a 1-1 with  Emmanuel Odafe   open scoring for Wikki Tourist in the  25th  minute before Abubakar Umar of Plateau United levelled up  from a quick counter attack after Osanga lost possession of the ball to make the tensed but interesting match ends in a draw, Honourable Jadda said that their greatest headache is playing their home games in Jos, Plateau State where he thought they will receive maximum support from fans but the reverse had been the case and he is hoping to move his next two games to Damanturu , Yobe state.

“I would have loved to move to Gombe which is closer to us to but I doubt it if I’m going to get the desired cooperation from them. I’m not sure their FA are in control of their supporters and being a product of LMC I would not want a situation where there would be chaos and our fans are blamed for it, therefore I believe Yobe would give us the respite we could not get from Jos fans.

“My next game against Rangers would be played at Damanturu and I can assure you that we would be back on track in no time before the world cup when we are expected to be back at our natural habitat, the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa stadium in Bauchi
‘I am also suffering because some of my players are in the under 20 national team and I think it has affected our game. I need to reshuffle by getting a good goalkeeper, central defender, midfielder and another striker too and Insha Allah ,Wikki Tourist would be back at our natural habitat before the world cup and everything would be okay again .
Wikki Tourists has now garnered 22 points from 19 matches scoring paltry 16 goals and conceding 22 to find themselves at the 17th position of the Nigerian Professional League table. They are expected to play Enugu Rangers who are 5th on the NPFL table with 28 points on Sunday the 6th of May 2018 in Yobe state.
