General Manager,
Oyo state sports Council, Mr Gboyega Makinde, Chairman Organising committee of
this year’s Federation Cup, Mr Idowu Oloyede, Chairman Oyo state FA Technical Committee,
Ogunleye John Oloyede, Secretary, Oyo FA, Mr
Kehinde Ojelowo, General Manager, Shooting stars, Mr Rashidi Balogun were among
the dignitaries present at the draws of the 2018 Oyo state Federation Cup held
on Monday the 7th of May 2018, at the Oyo FA state secretariat Lekan
Salami’s stadium, Adamasingba Ibadan.

Stadium is scheduled to host all the matches beginning from Friday the 11th
of May 2018 had its rules and regulations
conspicuously spelt out to all the stakeholders present at the by
the Chairman Technical committee while of the participants asked various questions in
other to avoid any hullabaloo before, during and after the championship

‘The FA will not care whose ox is gored as all the
rules and regulation stipulated for the event will be carried out to the letter
and I enjoined all of us present here to play according to the rules’ Oloyede
said in his speech.
Chairman Oyo
FA Gboyega Makinde also went back the memory lane on how he was redeployed to Shaki
just because he applied all the rules to the letter when he was a sport officer
and he belive the same integrity still exist among the officers of the FA and encourage
the participant to put in their best and put up a fight against Shooting stars
and Crown FC who are seen as the giants in the state.

Ojeleowo however was glad with the response of everyone and lamented that Oyo
state hasn’t won the FA Cup since 1998 and only managed to get to the semi-final
last season and hope to see a quality representation from Oyo state that would
do the state proud this time around
Before
Comrade Wale Ayangbile would conduct the draws, General Manager of Shooting
stars encouraged the club owners to be steadfast in their vision as he knows
that it not easy running football club in Nigeria.
‘I feel your
pain and I understand what you all are passing through, I just want you to hold
fast and keep going on and success shall be yours soon’ he said
