Zenith Bank official on their kneels to beg Fayose…
By Ayo Ademokoya
The ongoing saga between the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and the incumbent governor of Ekiti state, Mr Ayodele Fayose over the 1.2 billion naira traced to his private account and his cronies as part of the arms deals funds which is currently been investigated Ibrahim Magu led EFCC took a different dimension when Fayose sensationally released pictures of Zenith Bank Executives kneeling before him which according to him begging for his mercy over their role in the saga.
According to SA to the Ekiti State Governor on Public Communications & New Media, Lere Olayinka stated that ‘A management team from Zenith Bank Plc visited Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, over the involvement of the bank in the funding of the June 21, 2014 governorship election of the governor. Their visit to the governor followed a reported denial by the bank that it was not part of the funding of the election.

While commenting on the development, Governor Fayose said the bank officials came to beg him over the issue. “They were begging me and that the matter should not go beyond this level. I asked them why did they go to the EFCC to tell lies. Why did they have to lie that money came from the Office of the National Security Adviser? If the money is for me why did they have to link with me what is not.”
As at the time of going to the press,www.harohkah.blogspot.com is yet to get the reactions of the Bank executives or any spokesman of the reputable bank on why their top official would condescended so low as to kneel down to the extent of allowing their pictures to be taken and circulated all around.
However a source close to the Bank who wishes to remain anonymous said emphatically that we should not believe what we saw in the picture as Governor Fayose is capable of any mischief.

“The scenario may have been the same where he may have threatened them of one or two things which made them to have done so, but until we hear from them we should not completely believe Fayose’s statement.
